The messaging in your delivery methods can make or break the conversion. It can also sway shoppers to select one delivery method over another.

Tailoring your checkout's messaging so that every order sees its ideal words is easier than you think. You can even A/B test your messaging.

Just head over to Delivery Methods, click on Delivery Rates,
and click Add delivery method or click on the 3 dots of an existing one and click Edit

Here you can give the delivery method a name, and include a note there too

The delivery promise

To communicate delivery times to your shoppers, you can edit your delivery promise.

The delivery promise is the arrival time you communicate to your shoppers, and there are multiple ways you can do that.

You can choose to show the delivery date in multiple ways:
1. An exact day: Arrives Wed

2. Estimated delivery time "Arrives between X and Y days"

3. Estimated delivery range "Arrives Jan 12 to Jan 15"

Note: If your minimum and maximum delivery days are the same (e.g., 1-1), 'Single Arrival Date' will be shown. Instead of arrives between Monday and Monday.

  • When you set different minimum and maximum delivery days (e.g., 6-8), the system automatically showcases 'Text for Date Range.' Customize it further by selecting options like 'Arrives by {arrival_date}' or 'Arrives between {arrival_date}.

A/B Testing Copy & Messaging in Checkout

If you want to test different wording from A and B, you can easily implement it through the B variant. Applying A/B Testing is just as straightforward as the previous process. Here's what you need to do:

  1. Access editing options by clicking on the three dots beside the delivery method

  2. Click Performance & A/B Test

  3. Select Create A/B Test

  4. You have the flexibility to make the same alterations on Control B based on your preferences.

Note: Customize the text order to your preference, deciding whether the date should come first, or if you prefer text, emojis, and more.

After completing your edits in PDQ, take a quick look at your checkout to review your changes.

That's it, once you're all ready, your delivery method will be displayed to the shoppers who fit the criteria you've set for each delivery method.
