Integrating Gladly with PDQ

Overview

The Gladly integration allows PDQ to create tasks in a designated Gladly inbox using a Gladly API token. Once connected, activating recipes in PDQ will automatically trigger task creation in Gladly based on your workflows.

​Before You Begin-
​
Make sure you have the following before starting:
Admin or appropriate permissions in Gladly to create API tokens

Step 1: Create a Gladly Inbox for PDQ Tasks

Create (or choose) a Gladly inbox that will be used specifically for tasks created by PDQ.
This inbox will receive all PDQ-generated tasks and helps keep them organized and easy to manage.

Step 2: Create a Gladly API Token
​
1. Select an existing Gladly user email that will be used for the PDQ integration.
2. Generate an API token for that user by following Gladly’s documentation:
​https://developer.gladly.com/rest/#section/Getting-Started/Creating-API-Tokens
3. Copy and save the API token—you’ll need it when connecting Gladly in PDQ.

Note: The permissions of the API token are tied to the Gladly user selected. Ensure this user has access to the inbox created in Step 1.

Step 3: Connect Gladly in PDQ

1. Log into PDQ and navigate to Settings → Integrations:

2. Locate Gladly in the list of available integrations.
3. Click Connect.

4. Enter the credentials (Gladly Subdomain, Agent Email, API Token)

5. Select the Gladly inbox created earlier.

6. Click Finish to complete the setup.

Once connected, PDQ will be authorized to create tasks in Gladly.

Step 4: Activate Recipes
​
After the integration is connected, enable the relevant recipes in PDQ.
Recipes control when and how tasks are created in Gladly.
Once recipes are active, PDQ will begin sending tasks to the selected Gladly inbox.
