A PDP A/B Test compares Delivery Promise blocks on your product pages - for example, testing placement or messaging of the promise before a shopper adds to cart. The checkout group you select applies both to the PDP promise and later at checkout.
Step 1: Add the block(s) in your theme
One block across multiple PDPs: add one PDQ Delivery Promise block where you want it and leave the Product promise token empty - it acts as a shared container for all PDPs in the test.
Multiple blocks / placements: add two or more blocks and set each one's Product promise token to match its specific PDP token exactly.
Step 2: Create the test
Go to Optimize → A/B Tests → New Test → Product Page Test. Fill in Test Name, Hypothesis (min. 100 characters), and Goal Metric. Add rule groups to limit the audience if you want.
Step 3: Select PDPs & allocate
Select the PDPs to include (matching your tokens if you used specific ones) and set the traffic split. Save the draft.
Step 4: Launch & preview
Start the test from the Drafts tab. While it runs, preview any variation by adding ?abTestProductPromise=a (or b, c) to a product URL, e.g. …/products/example?abTestProductPromise=a.
Results appear in the Analytics Dashboard the day after launch.
Tip: give a PDP test enough runtime - product-page traffic converts further down the funnel, so it needs volume to reach significance.
Managing your test
Same as other test types: edit from Drafts (⋯ → Edit); launch (⋯ → Start Test); monitor in the Running tab and Analytics Dashboard; end from Running (⋯ → End Test) → Concluded → Get Analytics. To roll out the winner, see Implementing your winning variant.
