Once you’ve decided to power your international checkout with Passport and PDQ, setup takes just a few minutes.

You’ll be able to display fully landed DDP and DDU rates from Passport directly in checkout- personalized and optimized through PDQ.

Step 1: Add Passport as a delivery service

  1. In your PDQ dashboard, go to Settings → Delivery Services.

  2. Click Add delivery service.

  3. Choose Passport from the list of available carriers.

  4. Fill in the following fields:

Field

Description

Display name

The internal name for this carrier in PDQ (e.g. Passport DDP Rates)

Company name

Your company name exactly as it appears in Passport

API Key

The API key for Passport’s /cart endpoint (provided by Passport)

🧩 Note: The API key is specific to your merchant account and should be shared directly by the Passport team. PDQ’s internal team will then add it securely to your profile in the Dashboard.

Step 2: Select your Passport carriers

Once you’ve entered your details, you’ll see a list of available Passport services.
You can enable or disable any combination of these options:

  • Passport Priority Duties and Taxes Paid (DDP)

  • Passport Priority Duties and Taxes Unpaid (DDU)

  • Passport Expedited Duties and Taxes Paid (DDP)

  • Passport Expedited Duties and Taxes Unpaid (DDU)

You can toggle individual service types based on which ones you want to display in checkout.

Step 3: Save and review

Click Add delivery service to save your configuration.
You’ll see Passport appear in your Delivery Services list, ready to be used in any shipping method or A/B test.

From here, PDQ will automatically fetch live international rates from Passport’s rate endpoint and display them in checkout.

Step 4: QA and testing (handled by PDQ)

Once setup is complete:

  • The PDQ team will perform QA to verify live rate responses and confirm DDP/DDU accuracy.

  • If needed, PDQ and Passport will join a short call with your team to review testing strategy, rate visibility, and display behavior.

✅ That’s it!

Your Passport rates are now live and optimized through PDQ.
Shoppers around the world will see localized, transparent shipping options- with prepaid duties, clear delivery dates, and no surprises at checkout.
