Power your international checkout with Passport and PDQ to show fully-landed DDP (Duties & Taxes Paid) and DDU (Duties & Taxes Unpaid) rates directly at checkout - personalized and optimized through PDQ. Setup takes just a few minutes.
Step 1: Add Passport as a delivery service
In PDQ, go to Settings → Delivery Services and click Add delivery service.
Search for Passport and select it.
Choose your Ship from and Ship to countries.
Step 2: Enter your Passport account details
In the Add Passport account panel, fill in:

Display name | The internal name for this service in PDQ (e.g. "Passport DDP Rates") |
Company name | Your company name exactly as it appears in Passport |
API Key | Your Passport API key |
Your API key is specific to your merchant account - get it from the Passport team. If you don't have one yet, reach out to Passport (or your PDQ CSM) before continuing.
Step 3: Choose your Passport carriers
Under Your Passport carriers, enable any combination of the six services:
Passport Priority - Duties & Taxes Paid (DDP) / Unpaid (DDU)
Passport Express - Duties & Taxes Paid / Unpaid
Passport Expedited - Duties & Taxes Paid / Unpaid
Toggle on only the service types you want available to display at checkout.
Step 4: Save
Click Add delivery service to save. Passport appears in your Delivery Services list, ready to use in any shipping method or A/B test. PDQ then automatically fetches live international rates from Passport and displays them at checkout.
Step 5: QA & testing (handled by PDQ)
Once setup is complete, the PDQ team performs QA to verify live rate responses and confirm DDP/DDU accuracy. If helpful, PDQ and Passport can join a short call with your team to review testing strategy and rate display.
Good to know
DDP vs DDU: DDP means the shopper pays duties & taxes upfront at checkout (no surprises on delivery); DDU means they're collected later. Offer whichever fits your international strategy - or both.
Passport rates work across PDQ shipping methods, segmentation, A/B testing, and delivery-promise tooling, like any other carrier.
