Product Upgrade is a checkout extension that lets shoppers upgrade a single product to a bundle — or swap to a different variant — without leaving checkout. It shows up as a dropdown in the order summary, tied to the specific product in the cart.
Built for bundle-heavy merchants. If you sell a single item that also comes in a pack, a kit, or a premium version, Product Upgrade gives shoppers a frictionless way to level up at the moment they're most committed.
How it works
A shopper adds a product to their cart and reaches checkout.
If that product has an upgrade configured, a dropdown appears in the order summary — showing the bundle or variant they can switch to.
The shopper selects the upgrade. The cart updates instantly. No redirect, no re-entering info.
What you can do with it
Single → Bundle: One cookie → cookie bundle. One serum → full skincare set.
Variant swap: Standard → Premium. Small → Large.
Add-on upgrade: Base product → product + stand, frame, or case.
Segmentation
You control which products trigger the upgrade prompt. Only shoppers with a matching product in their cart will see it — no generic pop-ups, no irrelevant offers. You can restrict upgrades to specific product tags, SKUs, or collections.
