PDQ has no dedicated address blocklist, but you can block a specific address - usually for fraud - with a shipping rule applied across your methods. When the address matches the blocked text, those methods return no rates.
How to set it up
For each active shipping method in the group:
In Shipping Rate Groups, open the method.
Scroll to Shipping Rules → Add rule.
Set: Field = Shipping address · Operator = not contains · Value = the text to block (e.g. a specific street or suite, like
EXPRESS LN STE 6430).Save, and repeat for every other active method.
⚠️ Also disable the group's fallback rate
The rule alone isn't enough for a true block. The fallback rate ignores shipping rules, so if it's on, the blocked address will simply get the fallback rate. For checkout to actually stop for that address, the group's fallback must be off (see Blocking shipping to a specific state or region for how zero-rates becomes Shopify's "Shipping not available" block). Note this removes the safety net for the whole group - so weigh that trade-off, or handle the address via order review instead.
Important limitation - text match only
There's no zip or city filter - the match is on the address text:
A generic value (e.g.
3200 Palm Way) blocks every order with that street, regardless of city/zip.A specific value (e.g. a suite number) is safer.
Use the most specific string you can to avoid catching real customers.
Alternative: for one-off fraud, it's often cleaner to let the order come in and decline it on the Verify screen rather than editing every shipping method. See your fraud-review articles.
