To avoid syncing issues, PDQ doesn't cancel orders itself. Cancel the order in your eCommerce platform (Shopify) and PDQ picks up the change automatically - or you can sync it manually to see the change right away.
How to cancel:
Open the order in Shopify and cancel it there.
PDQ reflects the cancellation on its next sync - the order drops out of your active flow (Verify/Assign/Fulfil).
Don't want to wait? Sync the order manually in PDQ to update its status immediately.
💡 If a shipping label was already created for the order, void the label as part of cancelling so you're not left with a live, billable label. If you're unsure, contact support before cancelling a labelled order.
Good to know:
Cancelling ≠ deleting. Cancelling is done in Shopify; deleting an order from PDQ's screens is separate - see How do I delete an order?
Customers can cancel their own order after checkout only if you've turned on Allow Order Cancellation in Post-Purchase order editing.
