A "checkout" in PDQ is a set of delivery methods shown to a chosen group of shoppers. You can build several - each with its own methods, pricing, and messaging - and A/B test them.
Create a checkout:
Go to Convert → Shipping Rate Groups.
Click Add checkout.
Add all the delivery methods you want displayed in it.
Show it to a specific segment:
Open the checkout and click the ⋯ (three dots) at the top right.
Pick Add segment and choose a rule.
Example: first-time shoppers only: Customer order count → is less than or equal to → 0, then Add.
Three rules to know:
You need one default checkout - exactly one live checkout with no segments. Anyone who doesn't match a segmented checkout sees this fallback.
Multiple segments = OR logic - a checkout with two segments shows if either rule matches.
Checkouts can't clash - you can't set a checkout live if its segments overlap exactly with another live checkout (including having two segment-less live checkouts).
💡 Once you have two checkouts, A/B test them to see which converts better.
