PDQ's shipping insurance is provided by XCover. You file and track claims yourself in the XCover online portal - no paperwork, and most claims are resolved within a few business days via electronic transfer.
Before you can file:
Insurance must have been purchased on the label when it was created.
You must activate your XCover account - after you buy an insured label, XCover emails you an activation link.
How to file a claim:
Go to the XCover portal and sign in to your activated account.
Submit the claim for the affected shipment.
Track the claim's status online through to reimbursement.
Good to know:
Which email your policy is on: the policy is tied to the sender email in the shipment details at label creation - activation and policy emails go there. If no sender email was provided, the policy may be attached to a PDQ-affiliated email - contact support@prettydamnquick.com for help accessing it.
What's covered: theft/porch piracy, global shipments, and branded packages.
Cost: as low as 1.25% of declared value, with no minimum fee.
Supported carriers: additional insurance can currently be purchased for USPS (on PDQ's account).
